Local-first by design

Most apps in this category send everything to a server. CivilCalc Pro doesn’t. Projects, calculations, favorites, and settings live on your phone unless you explicitly enable backup.

No CivilCalc Pro account. No sign-up form, no password reset emails.
No project content sold. We don’t sell your project data or backup content for money.
Works offline. Calculators run on-device — useful when you’re on a site with weak signal.

Backup to your own Google Drive

If you turn it on, backup uses the drive.appdata scope to write to a hidden CivilCalc Pro folder inside your Google account. Other apps can’t see it, and you can disconnect or delete it any time.

App-specific scope. Access is limited to CivilCalc Pro’s own backup files — not your wider Drive.
One-tap restore. Reinstalling? Sign in and pull your latest backup back down.
Always reversible. Disconnect the account or delete the cloud backup from inside the app.

Common questions

Do I need to create an account?

No. CivilCalc Pro doesn’t have its own account system. Your projects and calculations are saved on your device. Google sign-in is only used if you choose to enable backup.

Does the app work without internet?

Yes. All calculators run on-device. Internet is only needed for optional features — Drive backup, Google Play purchases, and ads in the free tier.

What does the free tier include?

Most calculators are available in the free tier with occasional interstitial ads, plus rewarded-ad unlocks for select advanced tools. A paid upgrade removes ads and unlocks the full set without the rewarded gate.

Where are my projects stored?

On your device. If you enable Google Drive backup, an encrypted-at-rest copy is also written to the hidden drive.appdata folder inside your own Google account.

Can I export results to share with my team?

Yes. Use PDF for a clean report or CSV for spreadsheets. Exports go through the standard Android share sheet, so you stay in control of who receives them.

Is CivilCalc Pro a substitute for an engineer?

No. It’s an estimation and workflow tool. Always verify outputs against project drawings, local codes, manufacturer guidance, and qualified professional review before procurement or construction.
